The Kee Gate range of self closing safety gates provides permanent protection where regular access is required such as to plant and machinery, demarcated areas within a loading bay and other restricted areas as well as for walkways ladder and stair access points.
A major benefit of these gates is that they are spring loaded so they automatically close behind the user, overcoming the problem associated with traditional chains, links and sliding bars where human error can lead to the creation of hazardous voids
Testing & Certification
The Kee Gate range of self closing gates is fully compliant with the requirements of EN 14122 Part 3 2016 Safety to machinery. Permanent means of access to machinery and EN 13374 Temporary edge protection systems.
The range has undergone stringent testing to ensure the reliability and durability of the gates. These include salt spray testing to ASTM B117-11 Neutral solutions to assess the coating’s corrosion resistance and life cycle testing to BS 6375-2:2009 Clause 6.5 – Opening and closing of Gate through 90 degrees 50,000 times. The gates are also CE accredited to the requirements of EN 1090 and comply with the Work at Height Regulations.
